True Style

There are people who have such strong style that it's hard to image how anyone else gets dressed in the morning. Tonne Goodman, fashion director of Vogue, is one such person. She once described how to traveled to the European collections twice a year with not only just a carry-on, but with literally less than 20 items in her suitcase. She always, always wears variations of black, navy, gray, and white and couldn't look better if she was wearing couture.

I had the pleasure of working with her during my altogether too brief time at the magazine and am happy to report that she's a lovely person as well

PS - Somewhere I have a photo of her town home that very much resembles these stark but sophisticated ensembles - I'll have to post them sometime
