The Mother of Reinvention

There's a lovely article about Chanel in the Thursday Style section of the New York Times. They say 2009 has been a banner year for the designer, with the recession causing people to really identify with her true rags to riches story. I don't know about all that, but obviously I'll take all the information I can get.

"She's the ultimate Gatsby character," said Rhonda Garelick, a professior of English at the University of Nebrasks, and the author of a forthcoming Chanel biography, "Antigone in Vogue."

Well there's something I can agree with (and visualize)
