What to Read Now. And Why

Newsweek recently did a cover story about the future of reading, and one of the most interesting articles was the "50 Books For Our Times." Predictably it includes oldies (The Way We Live Now, Leaves of Grass, A Good Man Is Hard to Find) and more contemporary works (The Botany of Desire, Persepolis, The Elegance of the Hedgehog), but generally it's a nice round list for those of us, ahem, who may have fallen behind in our readings. Could also serve as a good summer reading lineup.

Excuse me while I update my Amazon wish list
