Gorgeous Greenery

Were I to have, say, a grand dame of an old home in, say, Old Westbury, New York, I might entertain the idea of a few peacock topiaries (!) gracing my lawn.

Found It

Looks like I've found my costume for next year: super glamorous, Audrey-inspired art thief a la How To Steal A Million.

Wire Beauties

Look at how beautiful these curiosities are! The first and second are just room decor, but the third is actually a lamp (I would love to see exactly what it looks like all lit up - take note Anthro!). Pretty pricey, but definitely wow-worthy, and how chic would they all be in a feminine little studio apartment?

Happy Halloween!

Though never one of my favorite holidays, I do love festivities of all kinds, making Halloween just as exciting as any other holiday. I might stock up on these super cool faux labels for my party next year

PS - I love Martha Stewart - like, consider using her site as my webpage love. She has so many amazing, perfect for everyone ideas here, at her Halloween Central page, FYI

Cute As A Button

Most people find lack of space restrictive, but I kind of like the forced editing it brings. How amazing is this tiny little 400 square foot place in Chelsea? Not only does the owner have a (large) dog, but it's also pretty chic. Inspiration, people!

Not my style, but what a New York image

My Look

Substitute this girl's hat with a fur one, and you have my everyday look (today included). Chic, right?

The Last of the Pastels

With winter officially around the corner, here's your last chance to break out those beloved pastels and visions of summer. . .

They Don't Make 'Em Like They Used To

Beyond chic.

PS - Speaking of beyond, work this week has been intense. Coupled with my eyebrow-raising weekend, blogging has been low on the priority list. Coming soon, I promise!

Kiddie Cuteness

Back from Connecticut, went to brunch and a magic show at the club this morning. They had the best little parade for the kids sporting their costumes - I must say this one might take the cake though

Venice Adventures

This wonderful warm weather makes me wonder what a trip to Venice this time of year must be like. . . floating along on the water in the autumn sun, with not a care in the world

Pining For. . .

a juicy red candy apple. Who's with me?

I can't get over this Giambattista Valli dress. The bow is so incredible, and that lace doesn't look half bad either. Not so sure that it would be my first choice for a St. Barts ceremony, but definitely pretty. The spreads below are from Town & Country Weddings

If I'm not wearing a coat very similar to the (peacock feathered!) one Leigh Lezark is wearing above at Paris Fashion Week in ten years, I will be deeply disappointed with myself

Polaroids Aren't Going Anywhere!

(Semi) breaking news: Polaroid film is not going anywhere. Much to the delight of hipsters from Portland to Brooklyn (well, and me), they will be introducing black-and-white film early in 2010 and will offer color later in the year.

True reason for celebration!
